I specialise in helping students achieve their goals in English language. This is most often helping D grade learners move up to the elusive C grade. I do have broad experience in helping higher achievers too. Please get in touch to discuss any needs you have.

Tutoring Experience

I am a Further Education (16-19) and Adult Education (19+) lecturer with twelve years of experience in the sector. I also have a range of experience teaching Secondary school classes from Years 7-11. In my current role, I am responsible for working with young people aged 14-16 who have become disengaged from their school careers. I have also worked for the WJEC for several years and am familiar with the examinations process and expectations in that process. Such familiarity has enabled me to help learners know exactly what needs to be done in an exam setting to enable them to reach their goals.

Tutoring Approach

I set goals in collaboration with my student so we work systematically towards an end goal. Every problem has a solution, it's just about working out how to solve it.
