A mechanical Engineer, who has worked within the aerospace industry for almost 25 years. I underwent an apprenticeship between 2001 - 2004 in mechanical engineering, whereby I now find myself supporting the academic side of current apprentices. This consists of, mathematics, mechanical engineering, physics and materials based engineering.
I take great pride in seeing success and am dedicated to allay concerns in exams, and breaking down mathematical and scientific problems to something much more manageable.
I have previously been a tutor in market harborough where word of mouth gave me a substantial student group. However, despite family and work commitments, my dedication enabled me to support this group in its entirety, and I am still proud of the results achieved to date. ALL at universities or in a worthwhile career and I have a drive to continue this in a more formal manner.
I will always utilise free resources, and will guide any student to utilise these in anger. I also have an appetite to enhance learning by supporting methods of self sufficiency. I am very aware that students leaving a GCSE setting and moving Into A levels and university, it is so important to understand HOW to study, and how much is sufficient to enable pass… these attitudes and behaviours are a key aspect of my guidance, and are as important as the subject matter itself.
