I specialise in tutoring for A Level Physics and Maths. I have a Physics degree from Oxford University and more than 10 years experience of secondary school teaching. As a private tutor I have delivered over 2500 hours of one-to-one tutoring sessions. At the moment I work full time as a private tutor and a developer of educational resources. I have a passion for Maths and Physics and I enjoy helping students achieve their potential in these challenging subjects. I am married with 2 young daughters and I live near Bingley in West Yorkshire.

Tutoring Experience

I tutor A Level Maths and A Level Physics. As a specialist in these courses, I have an in-depth knowledge of the specifications, exam papers and style of exam questions. I know which topics students find the most difficult and I focus my questioning and explanations to pinpoint misconceptions and areas of misunderstanding.

Tutoring Approach

A good lesson is like a conversation between student and tutor. l encourage students to ask questions and I check to make sure that my explanations are understood. I aim to make the lessons as effective and enjoyable as possible.
Preparing for exams is difficult and can be stressful. I have a calm and confident manner which helps students make the best possible progress.
