I trained at the Royal College of Music, where I am now a professor, and enjoy a mixture of performing and teaching. I recently gave a recital at the Queen's Gallery, Buckingham Palace on an instrument from the Royal Collection, and give performances, make CD recordings and broadcast for the BBC both as a soloist, member of a chamber ensemble and orchestral musician. I have performed in most European countries, USA and Japan. I teach at the Royal College of Music, London and privately.
I have 25 years' experience of teaching, individually and groups.
I adapt my approach to suit the needs, level and pace of each individual pupil. I prepare pupils for the listening, performing and composing sections of the Music GCSE, either independently, or providing additional help for pupils who have chosen GCSE Music at their School or College.
