I'm a medic and scientist based in London with a passion about making learning engaging and rewarding! I’m currently pursuing a Master’s in Research (MRes) in Translational Cancer Medicine. When I’m not immersed in academic medicine, I love making science an accessible and enjoyable subject for students. Over the years, I’ve consistently ranked at the top of my cohort, presented at international medical conferences, and published research in top medical journals like Blood and Annals of Oncology. My goal as a tutor is to make tricky concepts click, boost confidence, and prepare students to excel in their exams.
Having an extensive background in medicine and cancer research equips me with the expertise to teach students both the fundamental principles of science and how to apply them to the world around us. I have years of experience tutoring students of all abilities, guiding them to excel in GCSE and A-Level sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) and Mathematics, as well as preparing for entrance exams to top schools and universities. Through my position at King's College London, I have had two years of experience as Panel Interviewer for the medical school. Over time, I have successfully helped students secure places at institutions like Oxford University, Westminster School and Imperial College London by tailoring my teaching to their individual needs. Additionally, I mentor students in academic research and scientific writing, drawing on my experience in publishing and presenting research internationally.
I believe in a personalised and results-driven approach to tutoring. My sessions are structured to build understanding from first principles, ensuring a strong foundation before tackling advanced topics, using real-world examples and interactive techniques to make lessons engaging and memorable. For exam preparation, I focus on developing critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management skills, while providing targeted practice tailored to exam board specifications. My aim is to foster confidence and independence in learning, empowering students to achieve their full potential.
