Chemistry specialist, particularly for the International Baccalaureate both Higher and Standard level.

Author of Oxford Study Courses revision guide for IB Option A - Materials
I enjoy teaching one-to-one and consider it essential to develop a good rapport with my students. For this reason I always like to offer an introductory session, usually in the tutees home, to see how we get on before either of us commit committing to take matters any further.
Over 40 years in secondary schools - teaching to GCSE, ICSCE, A-level and INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE
For many years I have been a tutor with Oxford Study Courses for the IB programme taking revision classes in Oxford Colleges and overseas.
I have had many private tutees over the years at all levels, mostly sixth form work but also, in one case for an University student who had a weakness in one particular area.
I prefer one-to-one teaching but would consider a small group or pair of tutees.
My approach would depend on the tutees' needs. For final exam preparation, I prefer to "blitz" topics and then use past paper materials to develop familiarity of the exam styles, knowledge and confidence. This has always been much appreciated by my students. I am also prepared to act as a tutor in an ongoing, supporting capacity throughout their course.
