Hi! I'm Roman, an Undergraduate student at The University of Manchester, studying BSc Mathematics. I achieved A*s in Maths in both GCSE and A-Level and have tutored at various levels throughout my education.

Having always had a huge passion for both learning and teaching Maths, I love helping students strive towards whatever their goals may be. Success is relative, it does not matter if said student is aiming to pass or excel, I want to assist them in that to the best of my ability.

Theres nothing more satisfying than breaking through and finally completing a difficult Maths problem or understanding new concept you've been struggling with - and thats the attitude I want to instill in every student I teach.

It is through tutoring that I get to experience this joy over and over through the success of my student, and their increase in both ability and passion for Mathematics.

Tutoring Approach

I like to approach tutoring the same way I believe Mathematics is best learnt. When exciting, involved and active.

Making Maths exciting for some students can be a real challenge but I will always strive to consider their own personal learning style and work with this to encourage passion toward whatever topic is being studied.

Involving students in their work is vital in keeping them engaged and learning well. I never sit back and throw information at my students but instead, slowly feed it to them, frequently checking up on their understanding of the topic.

Finally, I want all my students to be active in their learning. I do not mind if a huge amount of work isn't covered in each lesson as long as my students will consistently keep up with the work in and out of lessons, and keep their knowledge ticking over.
