Having completed degrees in both science and literature, my main passions lie in pure maths, problem solving and linguistics. I enjoy new challenges and am fond of working in group environments.
(1) Over 5 years' experience running individual or group tutorials (up to 5 students per session) for secondary school students (years 7 - 13), both in England and abroad
(2) 2 years' experience teaching secondary school Mathematics classes abroad (equivalent to years 10 - 11)
My sessions are relatively relaxed and the approach is tailored to each individual student, depending on the nature of how they learn, their existing abilities, and their interest in the subject as a whole. As well as covering the necessary procedures required for developing high levels of competency, there is also an emphasis on the history and application of each topic covered, in order to build context and enthusiasm in the given subject.
