Hello! My name is Rose and I am 27 years old. Last year, I decided to make the advice I always gave my students and quit my teaching job to fulfil my passion of starting my own dog walking and care business. It has been an amazing experience so far and one that I do not regret.however, I have to admit that I truly miss helping people in whatever subject it is they need help with. I am passionate about building confidence in people through learning and truly believe that I can be a huge asset to many learners around the globe.
I taught at a primary school for five years; mainly in Y6, but I have experience in KS1 and all of KS2 too. I have experience working with SEN children, children that have English as an additional language, gifted and talented children and 1-1 learners.
My vast amount of experience means that I am quick to understand the needs of the learners and can adapt to whatever it is that is necessary.
My appraoch is a learner-lead approach. I spent some time getting to know them, and work out how they learn the most effectively. Some learn better with pictures, some like tables and statistics, some like a 'my turn, your turn' appraoch, some learners learn a lot quicker than others. Everyone is completely unique and that is why tutoring is so effective.
I find that making sessions memorable is best, so I try to make them fun, proactive and give activities in short bursts so that attention is kept.
