Hi. I’m Roseanne. I have taught for nearly 20 years and have a passion for teaching, learning and English Literature. I love working with young people and helping them to reach their aspirational goals. I am warm and approachable, with a student centred focus.
I have a BA (Hons) degree in English and History, as well as a PGDE in English Education. I have taught in a variety of schools across the 11-18 age range and currently teach in an Ofsted- rated outstanding school. I currently teach GCSE English Language and Literature and A Level English Literature. As an examiner for AQA, I gain valuable insight in to how marks are awarded in the exam, and use this to inform teaching approaches and exam technique.
Passionate about teaching and learning, I am constantly reflecting upon, and striving to improve my practice and this enables me to plan inspiring learning experiences for my students, ensuring maximum progress for all abilities. I believe in regular monitoring and assessment in order to provide feedback to learners and to determine areas for development and next steps.
My energy, diverse teaching skills; commitment to high standards; and careful planning and intervention; help to sustain rapid progress and positive relationships with my students.
During initial consultation, I diagnose key areas of development and devise an action plan for tuition sessions, as well as a revision/ homework plan for students. Regular feedback and monitoring is key and ensures that learners can achieve their very best.
