Hello! My name is Roshan and I will be starting my Maths degree at Imperial College London in September. I have achieved 11 9s at GCSE and 41 points in the IB Diploma (equivalent to 4A*s at A level) with a 7 (the highest grade) in Maths (Analysis and Approaches), Physics and Chemistry at Higher Level.
I also achieved a high score of 77 for the MAT (university admissions test) and a score of 10/10 in the additional MAT (only sat in my cohort due to technology issues). I can also provide insights on how I achieved 4 offers for Maths on my first attempt.
I have previously tutored students from 11 to 18 years old in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths at GCSE and IB Maths (Analysis and Approaches). I am also TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) level 2 qualified, which helped further develop my communication skills when explaining concepts.
I also hold a basic DBS check.
As a tutor, I am a firm believer in interactive learning, where I engage in conversations with my students about their existing knowledge and help fill in any gaps that may be necessary for their exam success. I prioritise exam techniques, focusing on how to understand the questions asked and structure answers to obtain the best possible marks.
Learning should be interactive and enjoyable, and I aim to take my students on an educational journey rather than taking a backseat approach. I have a friendly, enthusiastic, and approachable personality, and I am passionate about helping students achieve their full potential in school, laying the perfect foundation for their future endeavours.
