Newcastle University 2nd Year undergraduate studying Marketing. I studied English Language (A*), Business Studies (A) and Design and Technology (B) at Dauntsey’s School.
Through my experience, I have gained strong communication and organizational skills developed through being Head of House and a Prefect, where I mentored a group of 11-12 year olds and my role as Social Media Manager at Boswells Cafe. I am confident in my ability to explain concepts clearly and adapt to different learning styles to all students.

Tutoring Experience

In my role as a social media assistant at Boswells Cafe, I frequently taught and mentored team members in business-orientated strategies on content creation, strategy, and audience engagement. This required excellent communication, patience, and the ability to adapt my approach to suit different learning styles. These skills are directly transferable to tutoring, and I’m confident in my ability to help students understand complex topics and build their confidence (2023- Current)
I also mentored a group of 11-12 year olds, encouraging them to think independatly when helping them with their problems in problem-solving, confidence and through school. Through this year I helped them with their homework in English and Maths weekly. (2022-2023)
I am particularly excited to share my passion for literature and help students develop their analytical and writing skills.

Tutoring Approach

My lessons are for all ages with a specific focus on 11+, GCSE and A-level students in which I can teach a wide range of subjects and topics.
My teaching approach is student-centered, adaptable, and focused on building confidence and practical skills. I believe that every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to meet my students individual needs and learning styles. By creating a supportive and engaging environment, I encourage students to ask questions, think critically, and develop a deeper understanding of the subject.
I also aim to teach students the ways of perfecting revision and the importance of exam techniques to gain top marks. This will be achieved through extensive use of past papers, example essays and other revision materials that best suit the specific student.
Lessons will be an hour long, focussing on topics that the student struggles with, or practicing topics they wish to revisit to ensure that my students feel confident and well-prepared.
