I mentor children through the 11+/entrance exams, working through verbal and non-verbal reasoning, Maths and English. My students have gained places at Dame Alice Owen, STAHS, St Albans School, Haileybury, Queenswood and more.
I also teach English from year 1 to GCSE and maths up to year 8 (to account for the transition to KS3).
I also volunteer at my local secondary school once a week mentoring year 11’s.
I teach KS1, KS2, KS3 and GCSE English. I can help children with the following: filling in gaps, working on SPaG, exam technique, comprehension, creative writing and this is by no means an exhaustive list.
I use zoom and bit paper (an interactive whiteboard) to conduct my lessons, no other material is needed.
I look forward to hearing from you.
I left an SEN school to pursue tutoring full-time. I have worked with children with various conditions including Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, ADHD and autism. I have been tutoring for 5 years now with great success.
I have a BSc in Geography, and all GCSE’s grade A*-C. I am also currently studying for a diploma in Educational Psychology.
I have a friendly, fun approach and enjoy getting to know my students well. It is vital that they feel supported; I prioritise their well-being, incorporating mindfulness techniques into my lessons when needed.
