I have been working for over 10 years in primary education. In September 2017, I completed a masters in Educational Leadership at UCL and prior to this, I was awarded my PGCE and QTS in 2015 from Institute Of Education and I also studied Textiles at Manchester Metropolitan University, obtaining a BA (Hons). I have been educated with the vital skills and experience needed to make a difference and become the positive impact on children’s lives that I believe a teacher should be. I am a conscientious, diligent and highly reflective worker. I am passionate about teaching and have been involved in tutoring since I was 18 years old.

Tutoring Experience

I am currently working as Head of Assessment and Progress at a 3 form entry primary school in Havering. I previously was of Head of Maths and Head of English in Tower Hamlets, which has given me a wide range of experience of working with and developing the current curriculum. I have also been year group leads as well as teaching in a range of year groups.

I specialise in teaching Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 and my teaching has been graded 'Outstanding', both as a whole, and across all eight individual Teachers' Standards by the Institute of Education at UCL. Moreover, I am experienced in preparing children for their end of Key Stage 2 assessments (SATs).

I also have a great deal of experience with a number of SEN (Special Educational Needs) pupils, in particular pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition and moderate / severe learning difficulties.

Tutoring Approach

My approach to tutoring changes with every child. I tailor all lesson plans and resources to the unique needs of the tutee, be it pushing those who are already thriving even further, to helping to lift those who are currently struggling. I am particularly passionate about removing the learning barriers a number of children face, be it a lack of confidence, English as an Additional Language or Special Educational Needs / disabilities.
