Hi I’m Rosie, i’m 19 and i’m a second year undergrad studying politics with spanish at Newcastle University. I’ve always been super passionate about learning languages and have now been learning Spanish for 8 years. I’m super friendly and really keen to help people out with their language learning as i know how daunting and demoralising it can be sometimes.
I have experienced both the GCSE and A level curriculum. I achieved high A grades in both the GCSE and A level and achieved a 2:1 in my first year spanish modules. I have a sound knowledge of Spanish grammar so can provide tutoring on technical grammar elements as well as general spanish conversation and vocab. Due to sitting the GCSE and A level fairly recently i also have knowledge of both curriculums and what examiners look out for. I have about 6 months of unpaid casual tutoring experience of young adult casual learners and i’m keen to gain more paid experience and help people out!
I’m super relaxed and flexible with my teaching style in that i want to completely tailor our sessions to what you feel you need. Of course the most important thing of learning a language will always be the spoken aspect and therefore i will be incorporating that into every session as the exposure is super important to getting used to the language. With my lessons i can accompany them with worksheets and activities surrounding grammar concepts and exam style questions. For casual learning i have grammar notes, mind maps and vocab lists that i can send over for your use. Basically my point is i’m super easy at whatever you feel you need and whether you want one week of just speaking practice and the next we do vocab and reading i’m super chill and can work around you :)
