I am an undergraduate student at the University of Warwick! I absolutely loved studying French throughout secondary school and 6th form and I was helped so much by my amazing teachers. Additionally, during lockdown, I continued learning French with a tutor which helped me so much and put me ahead for the start of A Levels. I am passionate about helping other people fulfil their potential in this beautiful language!
I have been teaching Hebrew at a Sunday school for four years including teaching online during lockdown and last year I was head of the Hebrew team putting me responsible for a team of other young teachers. It is so rewarding seeing young people learn so much and develop their language skills. I am also a qualified and experienced sailing and kayaking instructor which has so many transferrable skills for teaching languages. Finally, I am a leader with my youth movement and have had lots of training as part of this on areas from planning and running fun and educational activities to safeguarding.
The best teachers I have ever had are those who genuinely love their subject and show a great amount of respect to their students. When teaching I want to keep these role models in mind and to attempt to emulate the things that make them so amazing so that I can pass on what they gave me. I love to ask questions and to help others work things out for themselves rather than just give them the answers. Everyone learns differently so each person needs teaching methods that work for them.
