Hello, my name is Ruby and I am a tutor based in Glasgow, UK. I have a first-class degree in Arts and Sciences, focusing on anthropology from University College London, and a Master of Fine Arts from Glasgow School of Art. I also speak French fluently and studied it to C1 level. I enjoy reading, cycling and all kinds of outdoor adventures.
I began tutoring English in 2020 as part of the charity, Opportutoring, through which I taught English as a foreign language to Syrian refugees over Zoom. In October 2024, I began tutoring English language and specifically supporting students in year 6 to pass the 11+ entrance exam.
I believe in a collaborative approach to teaching and working with students and parents to make a study plan that is appropriate to them. I am a friendly and patient person and always try to build a personalised approach to learning so that students grow their understanding at their own pace.
