Literature has always held a special place in my heart; from studying it at school to reading in my own time, I have always found it a subject of great cleverness and magic that everybody can partake in. Thus, I chose both English and History to study at university- two fascinating interrelating subjects rich with tales of intrigue! At university, I also extend myself to societies surrounding arts, music and drama, as well as charity-based events.
I have been tutoring for six years now, with experience in teaching both GCSE and A-Level English as well as A-Level Sociology. I have tutored online across different websites, gaining multiple 5* reviews and sparkling comments on the assistance I have provided to my students and parents alike.
My approach is very individualistic, ranging from formulaic to creative and colourful approaches, and consists of a comfortable amalgamation of content, essay structure and practise writing. Personally, I like this mixed approach as it is an approach that has helped me solidify my learning for years. I find that the best way to aid a student is to utilise and capitalise on their personal approach to learning.
My tutoring philosophy is built on excitement and passion. By helping a student to understand a subject and encouraging them to be excited and passionate about its content, their desire to learn will grow and, with it, their confidence. The key to strong grades is confidence, determination and passion. With the right tools, these can be tuned into any subject you are studying at school!
