Ruby

Hello! My name is Ruby and I am an undergraduate studying German and History at St John's College, Oxford University. I thoroughly enjoy tutoring and have several years experience and am keen to offer my help in the subjects I have completed to A-Level (A*): History, German and Maths. Aside from that, I can assist with entrance exams, including both private and grammar schools, as well as Oxbridge itself, alongside English up to A-Level.

Tutoring Experience

I have been tutoring for a company (11+ Tuition Birmingham) since November 2019 and have several private pupils alongside this, ranging from the age of 6 to 15. I also volunteered through school to help GCSE students in both Maths and German so have a range of experience with this. Due to the pandemic, I have learnt to adapt to online learning and this is my preferred method of teaching.

Tutoring Approach

My approach to teaching varies depending on the pupil. I try to mix independent testing with guided examples to ensure pupils don't become overly reliant on help and gain the confidence to approach questions themselves.
