I am a young woman who has been in teaching for just over 6 years now. Netball is a hobby of mine, as well as going to the gym as I pride myself in keeping fit and healthy. I chose to get into teaching as I really loved school and wanted to emulate the fun my teachers brought to the classroom whilst also making students succeed. I am sociable, a great listener and driven to meet the highest standards in all I do.

Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching science from KS3 to KS5 and CTEC Applied Science since 2016. Throughout this time, I have developed strong pedagogical and subject knowledge, especially having been the Year 7 and Year 10 curriculum lead. Due to my passion for science and improving student knowledge, I became a lead practitioner with a focus on fundamental skills learners require to master science. Over the last 3 years I have been a Head of Year whilst being a mentor to new teachers.

Tutoring Approach

My teaching style is setting high expectations based on the pupil, whilst providing the right amount of support. I provide students with the tools to feel confident in being able to apply their knowledge to questions and develop fluency in skills learnt.
