I’m a dedicated tutor with a passion for inspiring young minds. I offer 11+ tuition, primary subjects and English at all levels (reading, writing, literature, and language). I have a proven record of helping students with the essential skills for academic success. I am a kind and patient tutor who aims to inspire using high-quality resources which are engaging and tailored to the needs of each student.

Tutoring Experience

With over 26 years of experience as a teacher/tutor, I have successfully guided students through the 11+ and 13+ exams, securing places at their desired schools. I have taught across all primary year groups (1-6) and have a proven track record of helping Year 6 pupils achieve excellent SATs results.

My international experience in Chile and Japan, combined with my IGCSE teaching background in English language and literature allows me to bring a global perspective to my teaching.

As Head of English I have had the privilege of creating two school libraries and build a reading community. This created a buzz around books and reading from staff and students alike.

I believe in creating a supportive and nurturing learning environment where students feel empowered to reach their full potential. By prioritising wellbeing, I help students overcome challenges. By using inspirational resources for lessons, I hope to inspire students and help them to develop a lifelong love of learning.

With expertise in teaching reading, I am passionate about inspiring young minds to discover the joy of books. By fostering strong reading skills, I equip students with the tools they need to succeed in all subjects.
