I am a specialist A-level Physics teacher at an Outstanding FE provider. I specialise in AQA A-level Physics with Astrophysics but can support students on any examboard.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught A-level Physics for 12 years, the vast majority of this at an FE college and estimate to have taught about 400 students of all abilities. Alongside my teaching I have mentored students on a 1-1 basis, helping them to develop their own skills and providing academic and pastoral support.

Tutoring Approach

I understand the challenge of transitioning between GCSE and A-level. The material is taught at a high speed and the quality and quantity of independent study required can feel overwhelming. Confident, previously high performing students can find themselves struggling to achieve their personal goals, whether they are As or Ds. I have a holistic approach to tutoring that aims to develop and embed the understanding of the material, whilst developing routines to help problem solving and increasing your confidence.

I will support you to develop a productive independent study routine and share with you techniques which will be transferable to your other subjects.

Over the first few meetings I will assess your strengths and weaknesses and together we will develop an approach that will begin to move you towards your goals.
