Hi, I'm Ryan! I have just completed my first year in Civil Engineering at the University of Bristol where I use maths in practical applications on a daily basis.

Tutoring Experience

I have mentored a variety of students, whether it be GCSE maths students while in school, or my own siblings struggling with homework. I took my GCSEs only 3 years ago, so I am familiar with the different exam boards, their styles of questions and exam techniques required.

Tutoring Approach

From my experience, confidence is the most important thing in an exam. My approach would be to help boost a students confidence and problem solving skills by looking at questions and topics specific to the relevant exam board (Edexcel, AQA, OCR etc.), and coaching them through step-by-step methods. I also like to strongly encourage students to openly ask questions wherever they are unsure, to make sure that they feel secure in their ability to solve problems.
