Hello, I am a Dentist by profession currently living in Bristol and working full time. I have a strong background in Biology and I have offered one to one as well as online tutoring to many students for several years. I am extremely passionate about teaching and sharing my knowledge to help students prosper and carve their career paths as they desire. I like to explain difficult concepts in easy to understand and innovative ways which allows my students to relate theoretical concepts to practical applications.

I have experience of teaching Biology across multiple exam boards (OCR, AQA, EDEXCEL). My main aim is to boost the confidence in my students and have an approachable and friendly relation with them. Due to the nature of my work, I am flexible with my availability and I am able to tutor during weekdays, after work and on weekends.

Tutoring Experience

I have been providing home and online tuition for the past 6 years. I am extremely patient with my students and I have worked with people from different backgrounds who possess varying learning styles, strengths and weaknesses.

Every student is different and has their own pace when it comes to learning new concepts. My job is to identify the student's learning ability and work around that in order to achieve the most optimum result. I have helped many students reach their true potential and in my experience this is the most challenging but rewarding thing to deliver.

Tutoring Approach

We all learn in different ways so for me it is important to identify the tutoring method that will suit the individual. My approach towards teaching is friendly, passionate, ambitious, caring and to ensure the student gains more knowledge, understanding and interest towards the subject. I also feel it is important to build a good rapport with the student so the learning can be interesting and effective.

I use a variety of different teaching styles and materials to cover the subject matter. I am ready to work with students to help them achieve their specific educational goals. I pay particular attention to exam questions as they help put theory into practice. My aim is to embed the subject matter into the student's mind by solving exam questions which allows me to cover the course material quicker and in a time efficient manner.
