Hello there!

I am a friendly and dedicated Business Studies Tutor with over two years of experience supporting students full-time, currently working towards becoming a qualified Teacher. I tutor in Business Studies, both GCSE and A-Level, and currently I also tutor in Mathematics at GCSE.

Coming from a 7-year career in Accountancy and a degree in Finance and Management, I bring a ton of experience to my lessons, and I am passionate about supporting you or your loved ones in reaching your/their academic goals.

Tutoring Experience

My teaching experience began when I was at school myself; I supported a friend who was struggling with their Mathematics GCSE retake exam. Discouraged that they were unable to progress with their A-levels until they passed, and staring bleakly at a set of questions from their teacher, I offered to help them. In less than five minutes, they were smiling and  we were able to move onto another topic, which was a very profound moment for me. Since then, I have been tutoring on and off, whilst studying my degree, and later during my Accountancy career.

In 2021, I left my Accountant role to focus on Tutoring full-time. Since then, I have successfully tutored many students here online, as well as teaching at a specialist school which supports students with autism. In that time, my students have consistently excelled in their final exams, often-times achieving higher grades than predicted from their previous mock exams. I take immense pride in the remarkable results achieved by all of my students, and witnessing their success is incredibly rewarding, especially when their grades allow them to move on to their next step such as going to College or University.

Tutoring Approach

As a Tutor in Business Studies and Mathematics, I appreciate the challenges involved in both subjects, so my lessons involve three main components:

Firstly, addressing knowledge gaps with expertise and real-world examples.
Secondly, focusing on exam preparation, paying close attention to gaining marks in both written and calculation-based questions. 
Lastly, tailoring all lessons specific to the needs of individual students and encouraging students to communicate their challenges so they can make full use of their lessons.
