Hi! My name is Samuel Aston, a Doctor in South Thames with 7 years of tutoring experience. I have studied medicine at UCL in London, having achieved a first class honours in medical sciences with physiology (BSc). I did the international baccalaureate at Sevenoaks School for sixth form and got 43 points out of 45, achieving the maximum mark in Biology and Chemistry (a 7). I also achieved well into an A* at IGCSE in these subjects.

I look to support all students regardless of what grade they're aiming for and tailor each lesson appropriately.

Tutoring Approach

Having done the IB and achieving top marks I know what examiners want and how to get the best results. My approach in general is to go over the syllabus in detail and test on it as we go along, so as to not only build knowledge but also test it and consolidate it. I personally think this is the most effective way to learn, especially as you know you've covered everything!
