I am a first year undergraduate student reading Mathematics at St Anne's College in the University of Oxford. My focus is on helping students achieve top marks (9 and A*) in both GCSE and A Level. I also achieved within the top 5% on the Oxford Maths Admissions Test and am able to tutor students on the exam.
I have been tutoring mathematics as a profession for the last 3 years, particularly GCSE and A level Maths and Further Maths, but I am more than able to tutor Physics up to an A-level standard confidently. I have lots of experience in supporting students aiming for Oxbridge as I have supported the outreach from St Anne's College over my time in Oxford.
Generally for Maths and Physics, I find the most valuable use of 1-1 tutored sessions is to extend what is being done in class by finding more questions for a given topic using online resources and providing the skills required to not only answer these questions but to gather the most marks in an exam setting by watching a student work through it and diagnosing where they can improve. Overall, I aim to disarm and simplify complicated mathematical concepts to help achieve top grades at A-Level or GCSE
