Head of Politics, Teacher of Sociology, Author and Tutor with a passion for getting the best out of students. I adopt a firm but compassionate approach to teaching, ensuring students push themselves to achieve the very best they can.
I have nearly ten years teaching experience across the private sector and my current position is Head of Subject (Politics). I have taught History at GCSE and A-level across different exam boards as well as being responsible for creating a University Foundation Programme in Sociology. I have written political pieces for Politics Review and Think Tank Magazine. I also have experience working with students with ADHD, Dyslexia and Autism. In my previous posts I have helped students navigate personal statements, work experience and essay writing skills. In addition, I have experience with international students and those who have English as a second language.
I tailor each lesson to the students needs, focusing on the best learning approach. This can include a mixture of verbal and written tools as well as interactive media. Students are usually given clear achievable and aspirational goals to work towards. I provide all learning material as well as useful revision packs for students.
