I live in the north east of the country and enjoy beach walking as well as hill walking and skiing.
I enjoy travelling and have been fortunate to travel quite a bit. Safari in the Masai Mara in Kenya has to be one of my favourites.
I have been in education for over 30years and have extensive experience in teaching primary and secondary aged young people.
My teaching background suits tutoring primary aged children or secondary. I am experienced in support for learning and led a large team of specialists.
I have worked with undergraduate students/exam age students : developing their study and learning skills.
I am also very experienced in curriculum development.
I enjoy teaching and seeing young people learn. I like to work with my students to focus on using interests to learn as well as ensuring that young people learn the necessary skills and/or subject knowledge. I like to use a variety of methods as well as "chunking" the lesson to enable young people to focus and concentrate, all of which aids learning.
