Sangeeta

Hi, my name is Sangeeta and I'm currently a supply teacher living in Northampton, working for both primary and secondary schools although in the past I worked as a full time teacher.

My students have always come out with an impressive progress during their tutoring time with me. I have been teaching children, teenagers and adults for many years, and even few foreign students. I enjoy reading, gardening and cooking.

Tutoring Experience

I have a long career in teaching and have teaching experience in both India and in UK. Apart from private tutoring for more than 20years,I have been a SAT's Examiner for the last 16years as well.

Also, I was one of the few chosen examiner to be trained and mark the new grammar paper introduced in 2014 for SAT's. Teaching is my passion and I enjoy my job immensely. I am also a technical pre- test coder for key stage 1 where I participate in using professional input into the ongoing development of policy and practice in education.

I have a wide experience of tutoring every kind of student from reception to Adult EAL.

Tutoring Approach

I prefer to do a initial assessment to get an insight of the student's understanding of the subject , which also helps me giving a true assessment of their ability and helps in making a personalized lesson plan that will suit the pupil best. I use VAK ( visual, audio and kinesthetic ) learning style.

Being a teacher requires me to be constantly up to date with the current curriculum structure methods. Lessons are structured and rewarding, focused and specific. Pupils progress rapidly and develop a liking for the subject as they continue.

I try to make sure that learning takes place in a relaxed but studious environment. I tend to teach in my home, so that I can provide a calm, friendly and relaxed atmosphere, away from distractions.

I strongly believe that education is the best gift that any parent can give to their children which will help them in shaping a better future for themselves.
