Hi my name is Sarah, I am a qualified Science teacher and have been teaching at KS3 as well as GCSE in the West Midlands schools for several years. Although i have not been tutoring for very long, please do not let that put you off... my approach to tutoring is the same as my approach to teaching: the student comes first! I like to create a safe learning environment where it is ok to make mistakes, after all it is often only by making a mistake we realise where we are going wrong. I am friendly and approachable.
I have been teaching Science for many years and take pride in what I do. I have experience of teaching all three of the sciences and although my specialism is Biology I am confident in Physics and Chemistry as well.
Exam technique is often key to improving. I will always look at how students answer exams, and then look at content gaps and address these separately. I don't believe there is a single approach to tutoring... it truly depends on the student and how they respond to my teaching.
