I have just retired after being a full-time secondary school teacher for 29 years. I have a wealth of experience in helping students to achieve all that they are capable of at GCSE and A-level. I have a First class Joint Honours degree in Chemistry and Mathematics and a Master's degree.

I have extensive experience of teaching AQA and OCR A-level and the AQA GCSE chemistry and trilogy specifications. I have helped many students to achieve the highest grades. Over the years many of my students have pursued veterinary science, medicine and engineering degrees and a substantial number have secured places at the most respected universities .

I am more than happy to help with anything from building confidence to perfecting exam technique. My approach is to help identify areas that you need help with and then to provide targeted work to help improve these areas. I am highly skilled in providing invaluable help whatever the need - whether you need to develop your understanding of the fundamental concepts or wish to refine your examination technique.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught A-level chemistry, GCSE Chemistry and KS3 chemistry for 29 years. I have extensive experience of the AQA and OCR A-level chemistry specifications and have taught AQA GCSE Chemistry and trilogy specifications since they began. I can provide tailored assistance to help students to improve their grade.

I listen, encourage and support my students to help to boost their confidence. My approach is to first identify which areas needed to be prioritised. I am highly experienced at tailoring my material to ensure that my tutees are given as much support as possible to improve their understanding.. I ensure that they are given plenty of practice and am able to help improve examination technique so that they achieve their full potential.
