We had set up one weekly tuition for our daughter in preparation for her 11 plus last summer. We found Sarah to be professional, approachable and attentive to our daughter’s learning needs. Sarah had consulted us about homework and plans for tuition which took into consideration current school key stages, performance and areas my daughter should focus her learning. Sarah was very creative in her approach, gave recommendations on resources and learning tools which help my daughter’s motivation and develop her confidence in subjects and exam techniques. It has been both rewarding and pleasure to work with Sarah.

Sarah tutored my daughter for the 11+ exam which she passed this year and wouldn't have done without Sarah's expert support. She made the sessions enjoyable while also covering all of the material, and throughout always gave honest and informative advice about progress and tips for revision and the exam itself. Sarah frequently contacted me with updates in relation to the schools we were interested in applying for which I found extremely helpful. She was very encouraging to my daughter when she was doubting herself which really boosted her confidence and she enjoyed going to her lessons which helped her learn. We were lucky to find Sarah on this site as she herself had attended our DD's preferred school. Unfortunately we left the tutoring to the 11th hour just a few months prior to the exams. Then Covid hit and lockdown meant we had to abandon the sessions, restarting for a couple of months only in early summer. Thanks to Sarah and her patient and systematic approach as well as the useful techniques and guidance on which books to use, our daughter passed the exams! Sarah boosted her confidence and was pragmatic and realistic about our chances given the relatively few sessions - perhaps 10 in all, that we had taken. I was particularly impressed by her stated reticence to not take on children at too young an age. Thanks again for your input, Sarah! The best praise I can give is that we won't be going anywhere else when it's our son's turn to take the plunge in a couple of years.
