I graduated with a BSc Hons. in Psychology in 2007. I then joined the Prison Service where I worked as a Prison Officer for 4 years. I began my teaching career 10 years ago and currently hold a Middle Management Curriculum Role at a Secondary School in Gloucestershire.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught the AQA Psychology syllabus for the last 10 years. The optional topics in Paper 3 I have opted to teach my students are Forensic Psychology, Eating Behaviour and Gender although I am able to cover all the topics if your school has opted for different ones. If you are following an alternative exam specification, contact me anyway and we can discuss it further.

I have examined for AQA for 7 years so have a detailed understanding of exam technique.

Tutoring Approach

To begin with, I will ask you to RAG rate yourself on all the topics. I will also require work that you have already completed in your lessons so I can assess your style of writing.

Sessions will be tailored to your individual requirements and I will work with you to ensure that we are covering the areas that you feel less confident about. This could be through re-teaching topics, past exam questions, studying exemplar answers etc.

I will also look at your revision technique and suggest improvement where appropriate.
