I am a 27 year old who has grown up in the town of Witney, Oxfordshire, however have spent the past 8 years in Cardiff studying firstly for my Integrated Master’s in Biological Sciences, followed by my PhD in developmental genetics. I have recently moved back to the local area to work as a research scientist at Oxford Brookes University.

Tutoring Experience

I have a strong interest in teaching, and during my PhD I spent a lot of time working with undergraduate students within Cardiff University to enhance their learning experience. I am an associate member of the higher education academy (AFHEA) and throughout this qualification I have developed effective teaching practices for students.

Tutoring Approach

I understand that each student has different needs and ways of learning. I will adapt my approach for each student, and provide a supportive learning environment to enable their development.
