I am a second year physics student at the university of Liverpool. Since I was young I have always had a strong passion for science and mathematics and now I am studying at degree level, I want to share this love of the subject. Mathematics is often seen as an unbreakable subject, and I want to disprove this.
My teaching experience involves a year working as a tutor at a private company. Here I tutored students at a variety of abilities, which provided me with invaluable experience in explaining complex topics in more simple ways. Not to mention the plethora of experience I gained in lesson planning.
My teaching approach is the simple tried and true, teach, try and trip. This style revolves around me teaching the students a new topic, letting them try in an assisted environment and finally, letting them try a harder example on their own. Adapting the lessons around the student is the most vital part of tutoring and I always strive to keep it unique for each student.
