Home Tuition for Maths and Computer Studies / I.T. in Stansted

I am an incoming undergraduate Computing student at Imperial College London offering tutoring for GCSE and A-Level Maths, Further Maths and Computer Science, as well as for the TMUA entrance exam.

Tutoring Experience

At GCSE, I have experience helping students improve both their grades and their confidence. I have helped my students, on average, to move up 2 grades from their mocks.

I have experience teaching A-Level content - having achieved A*A*A*A*, I am confident at helping students to understand complex content in A-Level Maths, Further Maths and Computer Science. I have achieved 99% in A-Level Maths and 97% in Further Maths, as well as 90% in Computer Science.

Having sat the TMUA last year (achieving a 7.0), I know how difficult preparation is. I have experience covering both TMUA-specific content and specific exam techniques and tips for the TMUA with students to help them maximise their grade.

Tutoring Approach

I'm a friendly and patient tutor teaching at A-Level, GCSE level, and for the TMUA, and I offer a dynamic approach to tutoring, matching the learning style that suits each student best.

In a typical lesson, I go through content in-depth with students using detailed revision notes, going at a pace the student is comfortable with. Then, I use practice questions to consolidate students' understanding and to help boost their confidence in solving complex problems, sometimes giving the student practice questions to complete in their own time to further their understanding.

Lessons are typically 1 hour long but this is flexible.
