I qualified as a Chemistry specialist teacher at the University of Oxford in 2019. I’ve worked at several Oxfordshire schools and an inner London school. I also have a BSc in Chemistry and Maths from the University of Birmingham.

Tutoring Approach

My teaching style is grounded in creating lasting confidence and exam success for my students by adhering to the following principles:

1. Create a good relationship with the student to foster learning.

2. Make the content relevant to the student by using real life examples and breaking down learning into achievable steps.

3. Provide students with exam practise. When students see their efforts turning into marks their motivation gets a wonderful boost.

4. Having students regularly teach back concepts to me to enhance their long-term retention of knowledge.

5. Provide homework with individual feedback where appropriate.
