I have a degree in Languages for Business - French and Italian with Business Studies. I achieved a First in the two languages. Most recently I worked in the Formula One industry and previously worked for a book pubIisher where I specialised in publicity. I speak fluent Italian. I have a TEFL qualification.
I have helped students with 13+ Common Entrance French, GCSE French, A Level Italian and have taught conversational Italian to adults. All the students in question improved on their predicted grades or passed their exams. I have also taught GCSE Italian to a 15 year old student with no knowledge of the language. She achieved A* after less than 9 months tuition (and 1.5 hours teaching a week).
I use text books and, in the case of exams, past exam papers. I tend to establish in which area the student is most keen to improve or feels is the weakest point and concentrate on that. I have all the equipment necessary for Edexcel GCSE Italian.
