Mr has been providing online English tutoring to my daughter for many months now and has been brilliant. My daughter (yr8) really lacked confidence in her abilities but this has improved no end, which is evidenced by a clear improvement in her results at school. Mr is courteous and kind and the way he has been able to tailor tutoring to account for my (autistic) daughter’s special interest has aided her learning no end. I would highly recommend.

It has been an absolute pleasure teaching her- I have learnt more about cats and anime than I ever thought possible! It has been wonderful to see her English reading, writing and comprehension skills develop over the past couple of years. Thanks so much for the opportunity to teach her and I wish her and the rest of the family all the very best for the future.

My daughter was homeschooled and one of her choices was Media Studies for GCSE. She also gets very nervous being on screen for lessons so Shafei, for all of my daughters lessons dealt with it so as not to pressure her, even though at times I can imagine it was hard, he didn’t say anything he just taught her as if he could see her. We also at times had internet issues etc all handled with patience. Shafei is patient, helpful, understanding and informative. I highly recommend Shafei as a fantastic teacher, we’re hoping my daughters results will reflect both of their hard work, which I’m confident it will.

I first started my lessons with Shafei in around Feb 2023; a couple months before my A-level exams. I did not understand the examination format and the techniques involved with achieving the highest marks which I needed to go to University.

Shafei helped immensely with this; even in the short time that I had lessons with him. Our lessons consisted of largely exam practice in timed conditions which allowed me to become comfortable with the little time students are given. We also did past questions together, discussing different ways in which we could approach the question. Shafei is very encouraging and easy to talk to which helped me in understanding where I could boost my marks and thus my grades. Before meeting Shafei, my English contained a lot of colloquial speech and grammatical errors. Shafei reinvented the way I write in English allowing me to achieve the highest grades as well as being coherent with minimal grammatical errors.
He boosted my grade up helping me ensure I achieved a high grade in my coursework and examinations.
Thanks to him I managed to secure my place at the University of Birmingham.

Amy is the absolute model student - she always responded positively and immediately to feedback and would put in extra work outside of school and our tutoring sessions.
