Mohammed Shahad

Hi. I’m Shahad, a part time tutor and an Engineering Student at Imperial College London. I am passionate about tutoring and enjoy helping students achieve top grades.

Currently, I only teach online. The first lesson is free, to compensate for the website’s initial payment, which can be off-putting to parents and students.

I teach Maths, Physics and Further Maths at both GCSE (National 3-5) and A-Level (IB or Highers). Having achieved A* for these subjects in GCSE and A-Level, I’m confident in my ability to help students achieve top grades.

Tutoring Experience

I currently tutor a few students and have four years of tutoring experience. Having done my GCSEs and A Levels only a few years ago, I am able to relate to and effectively communicate with students as I faced similar problems to what they do. I also advise them on methods and tips I use to study efficiently.

Tutoring Approach

My approach is very flexible and is adapted to suit the needs of each individual student-

• I play the role of a tutor and a mentor, that way I teach students and keep them motivated and engaged

• Physics, Maths and Further Maths can be very intimidating subjects; however, I focus on teaching my students the basic concepts, that way they would be able to better understand the topic and apply their knowledge to different scenarios

• Online Classes are taught using a virtual whiteboard and the notes/explanations from the class are shared with the students as a pdf.

• I give students homework, so they are engaged with the content after class and recommend trying out past paper questions from the get-go.

I mainly use Zoom as an online platform; however, I can also use other platforms like Skype or Discord.
