Hi! I’ve had the privilege of learning from some of the most brilliant minds in geography (both human and physical) and geology. This foundation has enabled me to build a successful career in the railway industry, and I’m now eager to share my knowledge through teaching. While my expertise lies in Earth sciences, I also have a strong understanding of Mathematics, Sociology, and Physics. I am comfortable teaching Earth Sciences (including Human Geography) up to the university level, and the other subjects up to the GCSE level.
One of my key strengths is my understanding of international education systems, particularly those in India and the US, based on my experience in these countries. I am confident in my ability to help students adapt to the British educational system.
I have extensive teaching experience at both university and A-levels. During my time at university, I mentored students in the year below, helping them navigate complex topics and develop effective study strategies. I also led group discussions and revision sessions, focusing on breaking down difficult concepts into manageable parts.
Last year, I tutored a GCSE student in , who went on to achieve a Grade 7 when they achieved a Grade 4 in their most recent mocks. Additionally, I have worked with students of varying abilities, tailoring my teaching approach to meet their unique needs and learning styles.
I have also tutored a few A-level Geography students, helping them achieve their target university admission scores through long-term mentoring and personalised guidance.
My approach is highly interactive, emphasising visualisation of the topic and its real-world applications. I aim to spark curiosity—or ignite it where it’s absent—as I believe curiosity is a more powerful motivator than simply striving for good grades. Alongside fostering interest in the subject, I have a particular focus on exam techniques to help ensure that students achieve their maximum potential.
