Shannon

Hi! My name is Shannon and I have been privately tutoring students for almost 6 years, specialising in SATs preparation, secondary school transfer tests/ 11+ and GCSEs.
I have a degree in Primary Education from Liverpool John Moore's University.
I have a huge passion for enabling children to reach full potential and to never allow them to give up until they do! I currently lead mathematics education at a high school in Liverpool.

Tutoring Experience

Over the last 6 years, I have offered high quality tuition across many areas of the national curriculum, at both primary and secondary levels. Whilst completing my degree, I gained experience across most primary year groups. After graduating in 2019, I went on to work at a primary level for 2 years. I have since taught KS3 and KS4 maths in a secondary school in Liverpool.

Tutoring Approach

Through my teaching practice I have continuously been developing skills which enable me to promote maximum progression among all children I teach, ensuring the inclusion of all.
I believe that promoting resilience in children comes as a top priority. My teaching methods impart this encouraging intrinsic motivation in children to learn and develop to be the best they can be. I do this by establishing an exciting and engaging curriculum, whilst creating a safe, stimulating environment in which children thrive.
