I am a mathematics teacher in a high achieving, comprehensive school. I graduated with a first class honours degree in Mathematical Sciences for Business, Industry and Finance at Queen Mary University of London in which I achieved first place across the entire mathematics department. I then received a scholarship to study an MSc in Statistics at University College London. In between my degree and masters I worked full-time as a Business Analyst.
I have experience of working in a range of comprehensive schools and have taught across all key stages including up to A-level.
I have tutored up to degree level statistics and mathematics for over 10 years, this includes teaching levels at primary school, secondary school and college.
As an experienced teacher I have a range of different teaching styles to meet the specific needs of the learner. Along with giving plenty of practice to master the skills learnt, I encourage my students to understand why the techniques work so that they can apply their skills independently in a range of contexts. As an experienced teacher I know the common misconceptions that students have, and I have the strategies to address these so that my students can excel.
I always build a good relationship with my students so that they are confident and enjoy the lessons. I have a range of teaching resources and I know the latest developments in education through my profession.
I love teaching and I am committed to ensuring that my students recognise and achieve their full potential.
