I am a fully qualified and practicing Deputy Head of English in Richmond, South West London. I have a BA degree in English Literature and Drama, an Oxbridge PGCE with QTS and an Oxbridge MSc in Teaching and Learning. I can tutor in English Literature and English Language at KS3 and KS4. I teach in a London comprehensive school full-time but I am now opening up my free slots on weekday evenings.
I have experience working in a variety of secondary schools in Birmingham, Oxford and London. I am currently in my seventh year of teaching English at a South West London comprehensive school, with full exam board training.
I am very flexible and I will adapt my approach to suit the pedagogical needs of my students. My sessions often involve revising exam-based skills and past exam papers for GCSE or Key Stage Three students. I am, however, able to offer support with teaching key GCSE English Literature texts. For KS3 students, I can work through English Literature and English Language analytical or creative writing skills, setting up the foundations to thrive at GCSE.
