We can't recommend Shubaanvita highly enough. Many tutors are knowledgable in helping studnets prepare for GCSE's but few know how to impart a 'joy of learning' as well as Shuba does. Our daughter has gone from saying NO to a tutor to replying: 'great, I'll be seeing Shuba' when asked what she is looking forward to doing the next day. Our daughter's grades have improved but most importantly her joy of learning also about subjects she previously did not enjoy has improved. Our only regret is that we did not find Shuba earlier. She is as knowledgeable as she is kind in her tutoring.
Thank you so much for your beautiful words. I have loved getting to know your family.

Shubhaanvita has been tutoring my 13 year old son in science, maths and english for several months to support him in taking a school entrance exam. She is a really lovely teacher, very positive and supportive and my son immediately seemed more confident. She has a very good knowledge of KS3 and GCSE level subjects and was able to conduct interesting and thorough lessons via zoom. She also did a helpful session on interviews and sent us useful information to support the learning. My son passed the exam and will probably continue with occasional lessons into the future. He really enjoyed working with Shubha and I would definitely recommend her.
Thank you so much! It has been an absolute pleasure, getting to know both of you.

Shubhaanvita is an excellent tutor. Her teaching range far exceeds what she advertises and she can pick up on almost any subject. She is very good with children and she works at their individual level. I have recommended her to numerous friends.
Thank you! It has been a pleasure, tutoring your daughters.

Shubha is a very good teacher and helped my son with GCSE English. She was always very punctual and friendly and taught at a pace that was suitable for my son. She always brought along many resources and my son gained a lot of confidence in English and improved in his exam technique after having lessons with her.
Thank you so much for your kind words. Yusuf is a pleasure to tutor, and I shall miss interacting with all of you.

Shubba has been extremely helpful over the last few months helping me prepare for my combined science GCSE exams. She is very knowledgeable about all aspects of the course and is able to help simplify the more complex aspects of science which has been incredibly beneficial for somebody who learns like me.
She is very professional and has been a huge help in building my confidence on the subject as well as preparing me for my upcoming exams and I am very grateful for the time she has spent tutoring me.

Shubha was a wonderful tutor for my sixteen-year-old daughter, who was studying for her GCSE in English Language in June 2016. Each lesson Shubha brought interesting, original and insightful material to work with. My daughter responded so well that our initial four or five sessions extended to a much larger number of lessons right up until the exam.
She instilled a love of ideas and language into my daughter, which just hadn’t been there through her teaching in school. She became much more interested in the subject and her ideas became more creative and her knowledge of the subject hugely enlarged.
Shubha was a delight to have teach my daughter and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for some extra support and encouragement in their studies. If I had the opportunity again to use her I wouldn’t hesitate. Both myself and my daughter wish we had found her much sooner.

Said she could do the dates then at this late notice said she's not free- after I paid a fee. I need a replacement urgently!
My fault completely: I thought I would be back from abroad by that week, and so accepted the tuition request. Once I realised my idiotic mistake, I tried to reschedule to another date, but it was understandably not possible… I then paid the fee back.
From Patricia
Hello Shubhaanvita changed her mind and did not tutor. Can you please agree to release another tutor's details for me today.
This was a confusing situation: it was to be my first student ever, and I had assumed that Patricia was a parent seeking tuition for their child (rookie mistake, I shouldn't have made assumptions). It was the day before our first lesson, and I had still not received the student's address, which was making me nervous. When Patricia responded, it was to explain that I was being hired to tutor through her company. Although unhappy with this, as I wanted to work only through First Tutors, I reluctantly agreed to this arrangement. Rather than receiving the address for the student, I was then asked to send my CV, and that Patricia was in a hurry, and I needed to send it fast. All of this made me feel anxious, and so I apologetically asked to cancel the lesson. In hindsight, I was probably being paranoid, but at the time I honestly felt uncomfortable about the situation. I felt like I had been deceived at the last minute. What was to be my first student ever was suddenly joining an organisation that I had heard nothing about until the evening before I was due to meet said student. I understand that it was a last minute cancellation, but I did what felt right to me. I regret any inconvenience I caused, but I needed to look into this tutoring company before signing up to anything.
