I’m a calm, enthusiastic and friendly person. I believe that learning isn’t something that stops when you leave the classroom but rather something we all continuously do. I really enjoyed my primary school years and want to be able to give others the same enthusiasm for learning that I had.

Tutoring Experience

I have been a primary school teacher for the last 14 years. I have taught all year groups and been a year leader across all the year groups in Primary School. I have also taught in all year groups in secondary but my passion is for KS2.
I’ve helped shape the curriculum in the past two schools I’ve worked in. I enjoy creating and delivering engaging, exciting and accessible lessons which help children progress whilst having fun.

Tutoring Approach

Each student is individual and therefore the approach for each student is unique. Identifying a pupil’s barriers, which could be subject knowledge or confidence, is essential to help them learn. However building good personal relationship is vital with children so that they feel comfortable, and will learn more from someone that they know is credible, reliable and on their side.
