Hello there!
I'm down to earth and can relate really well to teenagers
Im a learner by nature, and have recently semi mastered how to ride a unicycle, code for websites and photoshop!
Learning is key in my life and I believe I can help your child understand and apply their scientific knowledge better in their upcoming exams!
I have been teaching and tutoring children of ages 11-16 years for 20+ years. I have been graded a consistent outstanding teacher by my school and also Ofsted (when they graded individual teachers)
My particular strength is challenging students to realise their potential by making the science fun, more easily understood by putting it into real life contexts and building in small 'stepping stones' of learning that enable significant progress to be made. I have tutored many students to realise their potential and target grades.
Every lesson has outcomes which will meet the needs of the tutee and the exam specification. Tutees will be assessed as the lesson progresses so that I can gauge their progress.
If a student is struggling I will ensure enough support is provided to help them improve. Homework can be arranged to aid the tutee's understanding.
When the exams begin to close in, I will focus on exam preparation and revision techniques ensuring the tutee is fully confident to sit the exam.
