With a 2:1 degree from a leading university, a real passion for learning, and highly developed communication skills I have the knowledge and attributes to help students succeed.
I am also a qualified SENCO (Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator) and have significant experience working with young people who have social, emotional and mental health needs.

With more than 20 years experience of teaching in London, France, and the West Midlands I have an excellent understanding of how students learn. This includes a range of subjects and levels, including History, English, French, and Geography. In addition, I train teachers and have extensive knowledge of the process of learning and how this can be adapted to suit students' needs.
I am an examiner for A level and GCSE History. This includes work for AQA and Edexcel meaning i have a thorough understanding of what is required for success in exams and other assessments.
My approach is always be based on the needs of learners, helping them to achieve their goals. I build students' confidence and at the same time ensure a suitable level of challenge that leads to rapid progress. I plan carefully for every session and establish a good balance for students that means they remember and enjoy their learning, as well as experience success.
