Simon has tutored my daughter for A level maths and I am very pleased to say she has got A* in her maths and admission into Imperial college. Simon has very good command on the subject. We had weekly lessons with Simon. To avoid conflicts, he used to go through same topics as my daughter was taught in school, set her homework involving difficult questions which helped a lot. Simon has been very polite and patient, I would recommend him to anyone looking for maths / further maths tuition.

We were looking for help for our son who just completed his first year of university study in mechanical engineering and needed to re-take some exams. Simon was very quick to respond to our request and to discuss how he might help our son. Our son has now met with Simon multiple times, both in-person and online. Simon is highly qualified and has delivered effective tutoring sessions. He is very responsive to the needs of our son. Simon has taken a personal interest in our son's academic and career goals. We had contacted Simon for catch up sessions on Year 12, for my son - A level Physics, during the summer break. Simon has been a real help in clarifying the doubts and filling in the gaps in knowledge. My sons vouches for the efficiency of Simon's clear and simplified explanations. Every session begins with a recap and recall of previously learned content, followed by enquiries to discover gaps; explanation is followed by practice of exam questions. As a parent I appreciate the fact that Simon takes responsibility for the learning and it is motivating my son to revise and recap at home.

I had the privilege of being taught Thermodynamics and Fluid Mechanics by Simon, and I couldn't be more satisfied with his teaching. Simon's mastery of the subjects shone through his teaching, and his clear explanations made complex concepts feel manageable. Simon has been excellent, He helped my son for an A level physics when he needed to achieve an A and after having a few lessons with Simone my son started to feel more confident about the topics that is been taught in school already but Simone explained it in a better way.

Simon really knows his stuff across a broad range of topics. He was very organized towards the end of the exam study period when my son wasn't. A safe pair of hands who's hopefully helped one grade jump needed at A levels.

Simon tutored me in Structural Analysis and Structural Design for my university modules. During my time with him,I've managed to increase not only my understanding of the modules but my confidence. I would strongly recommend him as a tutor as he is always prepared for the lesson and is happy to re-explain and clarify theories and questions which as a student is a huge plus and confidence builder.

Simon, He is a courteous person, calm and collective at all time in our sessions. He has a strong knowledge of mechanics, it doesn't need to be told, but it’s a good breath of fresh air to see and learn that there is great teachers like him. Explain the fundamentals, and then bring it up to the difficult parts. Especially in subjects like fracture mechanics, that as people who know, is not a simple subject to learn. Or Airy's stress function, and relating it in a way that it can better understood as this is neither a simple task.

You will learn a lot form him, and strongly advise.

Simon provided tuition in my structural analysis and maths modules for the second year of my civil engineering degree. Simon is a patient tutor, willing to take the time to explain concepts foreign to your mind. Explanations given are simple to understand and remember. My understanding of these modules exceeded what I thought it could be. I highly recommend Simon as a tutor to any student who he can help with!

I found the soil mechanics session with Simon to be massively helpful. He answered my queries very well and I found his explanations very easy to follow and understand. Any questions I had he answered well and he helped me to clarify and deepen my understanding of the concepts I was struggling with. As a result I was able to successfully complete the coursework I was struggling on.
He was also quick to respond to my initial request and able to meet me in a tight timeframe so I could complete my assignment on time.

Simon helped me to cover all the content for my resit in solid mechanics and dynamics module for aerospace engineering in a very short period of time. He filled the gaps in my knowledge and helped to improve my understanding of the subject. He helped me to solve questions using easier and more efficient methods. I also felt that my classes with Simon gave me strong background for my next semester.

Simon has a good online set up for online classes which makes it very easy to have the session remotely. It was a pleasure working with such a dedicated tutor. From the time that I contacted Simon, he showed extreme professionalism in the way he dealt with my request. Simon is a very hand working tutor and he tutored my son for his engineering exams (Dynamics & Control, Solids & Structures). Simon helped me to prepare for my resit in my advanced stress analysis module. Topics covered include: Yielding of cylinders, circular plates, membrane theory of shells, and energy methods, (Castigliano’s theorem)

He is a very good and knowledgeable tutor. He first establishes a solid foundation which he then builds upon for each respective topic. This is then reinforced via running through some practical examples. Both approachable and friendly, I have very much enjoyed his lessons.

I required Dr Simon’s help with my 3rd year university modules. Dr Simon helped me with understanding Finite Element Analysis and the stiffness matrix method. Throughout my time with Dr Simon, he was very patient and sought to fully understand my needs so that he could tailor his tuition services. He planned his lessons and took care in ensuring I had understood all that was taught. He was also easily contactable and available to answer any queries I had. Simon has been very helpful and productive in the sessions we have had online. He has helped a great deal in my module on dynamics of machines and vibrations, which I had been struggling on beforehand. Simon has helped me to prepare for my first year exams for mechanical engineering degree, tutoring me in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, dynamics and statics. Dr Simon tutored me in the 2nd year of my MEng aerospace engineering course. He is an excellent and friendly tutor who has helped me tremendously with Engineering Mathematics, and Structures and Materials. He is able to explain difficult concepts and topics from both modules that I struggled with in a simple, methodical way. Our online lessons using Skype and Scribblar are effective and very helpful.
